Planning is currently underway to bring multiple Adult Education offerings to members 
and the community in the spring and fall.

 

Cultivating an Interior Garden:  February, March, and April 2008

This six-part workshop will be based on the phrases of the familiar prayer, which Jesus taught us, the Our Father.  We will look at the basics of Christianity, which this prayer incorporates and we will follow Jesus on the road to Jerusalem, through the events of Holy Week, to the joy of Easter Resurrection.

Each session in the series is offered both Wednesday morning at 10:00 and Sunday morning, at 11:30. While each meeting builds on the one before, it is not necessary to attend all sessions to benefit from the program. You may attend either series, or some sessions of each.

All sessions will be in the Morehouse Room, and are as follows: 

I. Wednesday, 2/13 and Sunday, 2/17

            Our  Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name…

II. Wednesday, 2/20 and Sunday, 3/9

            Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven…

III. Wednesday, 2/27 and Sunday, 3/16

            Give us this day our daily bread…

IV. Wednesday, 3/12 and Sunday, 4/6

            And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors

V.   Wednesday, 3/19 and Sunday, 4/13

            Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil…

VI.  Wednesday, 4/2 and Sunday, 4/20

            For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory forever and ever.
