Board of Christian Education 

Takes charge of the church school, adult education programs, special events (such as the ice cream social and Advent workshop) and youth programs.  One member is a liaison to the Nursery School Board.

Board of Christian Outreach  

Outreach Website

10% of all church proceeds support a variety of local social service agencies 
including such as Eldercare, Norwalk Emergency Shelter, St. Luke’s Lifeworks, 
and Star. The Outreach Board analyzes prospective recipients and determines 
annual allocations. The board also organizes community outreach projects 
including shelter meals and Americare’s HomeFront project.

Board of Deacons

Responsible for everything relating to our worship service, including the order of worship, the music, the scriptural readings, communion, ushers, greeters, coffee servers, and feedback to the clergy, as well as our church’s membership.

Board of Stewards

Handles our church’s finances, including the budget, investments
and restricted funds, as well as maintaining and improving the buildings and grounds.

Church Council

Comprised of the Chairs of each Board and nine at-large members.  The Council coordinates activities and priorities among the Boards, constitutes committees as needed for special assignments, and is involved with long-range planning.

Meets:  Third Wednesday of each month

Nominating Committee

Staffs the Boards and Nominating Committee and finds Chairs 
for the Annual Darien Antiques Show and the Pledge Campaign.

Meets:  During the months of February, March and April and as 
needed other times of the year.
