To share with and support church members and friends in times of difficulty or celebration, coming not as counselors or psychologists, but as friends and members of our extended church family.  First implemented in November 1994, the CareNet Ministry specially trains volunteers from our congregation to augment pastoral care provided to our church community by our clergy and by the long-established Caring Committee.  Training emphasizes active listening skills and awareness of wider community resources.
