Shawl Knitting Ministry

You are invited to join us for a peaceful and prayerful time together. We will work on "prayer shawls" to comfort or celebrate someone close to our heart. All are welcome to join us for music and chant, and short passages from Knitting Into the Mystery, by Susan Jorgensen and Susan Izzard.

 

 

Shawl Knitting Ministry, January 18, 2011, Morehouse Room. An invitation to prayer, contemplation, music, fellowship and prayerful activity.  Morning gatherings are planned between  10.00 & 11:30 and evening gatherings between 7.30 and 9.00 on January 18, February 1 and 15; March 1 and 15 and 29. Our prayer shawl ministry will welcome your willing hands and hearts.  This ministry continued throughout the past year and several shawls have been completed and distributed as recently as this past November. Recipients are always over-joyed by the care each shawl represents. You do not need to be a knitting expert, and could be a complete novice; help is always at hand.  Supply yourself with #13 needles and 3 skeins of Lion Brand Homespun in whatever color you wish.  The yarn can be found at Walmart, Michael's in Stamford or www.lionbrand.com.
