Christian Education Special Events This year, the Board of Christian Education is hosting a number of events to encourage fellowship and service for our entire congregation

UPCOMING PROGRAMS

Church School Sunday:  May/June 2008
This special service is run completely by the children, from the prayer of dedication written by the older children to the Bible story acted out by the younger children. In past years we have told the story of Noah’s Ark, Creation, and the Prodigal Son.

Church School Picnic:  Sunday, June 8, 2008
On the last official day of Church School, we host the annual Church School Picnic.  Hot dogs, chips, ice cream, and more are offered right after the service!  Come join us while we celebrate a successful year of Church School and wish our teachers and friends a wonderful summer.

Church School Christmas Pageant:  Sunday, December 16, 2007
The entire Church School tells the story of Jesus' birth.  Each child has a role from angels in the 3’s to Mary and Joseph from the 6th and 7th grades.  It is a special program that all of the Church members look forward to seeing. Photos here....

Mardi Gras Family Fun:  Saturday, February 2, 2008
Gumbo, great music, games, and good fun were on hand for the first annual Mardi Gras party!  Great fun was had by all at this wonderful family potluck.  Click here for pictures.

Church School Ice Cream Social: Sunday, September 9, 2007
After a morning of worship and the children meeting their new Church School teachers, we gathered on the lawn for our traditional Ice Cream Social.  There’s nothing better than ice cream with all the fixings before lunch!  This year our new Sexton Fernando Velasquez extended the fun, entertaining the children with his music and his amazing balloon creations!  Click here for pictures.

All Church Picnic at Weed Beach :  Sunday, September 16, 2007
A family favorite in our Church, this year over 100 members young and old gathered at Weed Beach for a bring your own BBQ.  On a sunny and crisp fall afternoon and we had the privilege of welcoming our newly called Senior Minister the Reverend Larry Wood and his family.  Fellowship was high as we enjoyed sharing good food, good conversation, and a gorgeous sunset.
